Club Information

North Down BSAC branch No 464 was formed in October 1971. At present our membership is twenty six divers.
We are the Diving Section of Ballyholme Yacht Club. You can find us at the Clubhouse on Seacliff Road, beside Ballyholme Bay. Our Club Night is Thursday night.

Our facilities are second to none. We have a spacious clubroom with a fully stocked bar (very important!), two private slipways for launching into Ballyholme Bay, two rigid-hull inflatable diving boats, male and female changing rooms with showers, and compressor and nitrox filling facilities.

BSAC training is provided from Club Diver to Advanced Diver levels. All training is carried out under the supervision of BSAC Nationally Qualified Instructors. We start our yearly training program in October/November.
Non-BSAC trained divers, PADI, SAA, etc. are welcome to join us.

A diving programme is organised all year long. Dives vary from shallow scenic to deep wreck diving. We dive regularly in Belfast Lough,Strangford Lough, The Antrim Coast and along the Ards Penninsula. Diving trips have been organised this year to the West Coast of Ireland, Rathlin Island and in previous years to The Red Sea.

Diving Trips abroad are organised for club members upon request.
